What is Coastmetics?
Coastmetics is a skin, body and home brand inspired by the feeling of the coast.
We translate coastal landscapes into sensory rituals for everyday life, beginning with the Baltic Sea. Our products are created to bring a moment of the coast into your daily routine, wherever you are.
What does “From coast to care” mean?
“From coast to care” is the heart of Coastmetics.
It describes our journey and philosophy from coastal inspiration to thoughtful products: from the feeling of sea air, soft light, sand, water and stillness to rituals for skin, body and home, while keeping our production standards high and also, ultimately, giving back to nature.
Where does the inspiration for the first collection come from?
Our first ritual is inspired by the Baltic Sea.
Our founder, Julia, spent a lot of time at the Baltic coast during short trips away from the pace of her former home city, Berlin. By the sea, she regularly found a sense of calm, clarity and coming back to herself – even after only a short time by the coast.
Naturally, the first chapter of Coastmetics is dedicated to this special coastal region, capturing its quiet beauty: a soft morning by the beach, water on skin, sand beneath your feet and the feeling of returning to yourself.
What is the Baltic Sea Ritual?
The Baltic Sea Ritual is the first product collection of Coastmetics.
It consists of three multifunctional products designed for face, hands and body: THE TIDES, THE SWELL and THE GLEAM.
Together, they form a simple yet sensory ritual for every day.
What products are included in the first Coastmetics ritual?
The first Coastmetics ritual includes:
THE TIDES
A gentle oil-to-milk cleanser for face, hands and body.
THE SWELL
A lightweight retinol alternative moisturiser for face, hands and body.
THE GLEAM
A multifunctional all-in-one oil for face, hands and body.
Each product can be used on its own or as part of the complete ritual.
How do I use the products together?
Use the Baltic Sea ritual in three simple steps:
1. Cleanse with THE TIDES
Massage onto skin and rinse with water as the oil-gel transforms into a fluid milk.
2. Moisturise with THE SWELL
Apply to face, hands or body whenever your skin needs lightweight yet deep hydration.
3. Finish with THE GLEAM
Use a few drops on face, hands, body or dry areas to nourish the skin and leave a natural glow.
You can use the full ritual daily or adapt it to your own routine.
Can I use the products on both face and body?
Yes. All Coastmetics skincare products are designed as multifunctional care for face, hands and body.
As with any cosmetic product, we recommend introducing new products gradually and avoiding direct contact with the eyes.
Are Coastmetics products suitable for sensitive skin?
Our first products are designed with gentle everyday use in mind. While all our products contain only high quality and vegan-friendly ingredients, especially our oil-to-milk cleanser, THE TIDES, is dermatologically tested and suitable for sensitive skin. However, every skin is different.
If your skin is very sensitive, reactive or prone to allergies, we recommend doing a small patch test before first use. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.
Do the products contain fragrance?
Yes, the first Coastmetics ritual contains fragrance.
The scent of every product was chosen to support the sensory experience of each step of the ritual. If you are highly sensitive to fragrance or have known allergies, please check the ingredient list carefully before use.
Where can I find the full ingredient list?
You can find the full ingredient list on each product page on our website and on the product packaging.
We always recommend checking the ingredients before use, especially if you have known sensitivities or allergies.
Are Coastmetics products vegan?
Yes, all Coastmetics products are vegan.
Are Coastmetics tested on animals?
No. Coastmetics products are not tested on animals.
Where are the products made?
All Coastmetics products are made in Europe to ensure our quality and production standards are met.
The products of our Baltic Sea collection are manufactured in Riga, Latvia, in the Baltic region. We work with carefully selected partners who help us translate our coastal concept into thoughtful, high-quality products.
Are the formulations natural or certified organic?
Yes, all our formulations are certified.
THE TIDES and THE GLEAM are COSMOS ORGANIC certified by Ecocert Greenlife according to the COSMOS standard.
THE WELL is COSMOS NATURAL certified by Ecocert Greenlife according to the COSMOS standard.
When will Coastmetics launch?
The first Coastmetics ritual launches in July 2026.

Which countries do you ship to?
At launch, Coastmetics will ship to selected European countries.
Available shipping destinations will be shown at checkout. If your country is not available yet, please join our newsletter or contact us. We are planning to expand step by step.
How long does shipping take?
Shipping times depend on your destination and the selected shipping method.
Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation with tracking information where available.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and depend on your delivery country and order details.
Any available free shipping thresholds or special shipping offers will be shown in the shop.
Can I change my shipping address after placing an order?
If your order has not yet been shipped, we will do our best to help.
Please contact us as soon as possible at hello@coastmetics.com with your order number and the correct shipping address.
Once an order has been shipped, we may no longer be able to change the delivery address.
Can I return my order?
Yes, you can return your order within the applicable return period, provided the products are unopened, unused and in their original condition.
For hygiene reasons, opened or used cosmetic products cannot usually be returned.

What should I do if my order arrives damaged?
We are sorry if your order arrives damaged.

When will I receive my refund?
Once your return has been received and approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method.
Please note that it may take a few business days for the refund to appear, depending on your payment provider.
